Andean Moments is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. We process it in line with Peruvian Law No. 29733 on Personal Data Protection and its Regulation and, where it applies to visitors from the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
By using this website, sending us an enquiry or booking a service, you confirm that you have read this Privacy Policy and accept the processing of your data as described here. This policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions.

Legal basis
We process your data on one or more of these grounds:
- Contract: the data is needed to answer your request or to provide the service you booked.
- Consent: you gave it by submitting a form, subscribing to the newsletter or sharing a photo. You can withdraw it at any time.

Passport and identity data are mandatory for most services. Without them we cannot issue permits or tickets, and we are not responsible for services that cannot be confirmed for that reason.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only to the extent needed, with:
| Recipient | Why |
|---|---|
| Government bodies and site administrators | To issue permits and entry tickets (for example Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail) and to meet control requirements. |
| Travel providers | Train companies, hotels, airlines, transport operators, guides and partner tour operators that deliver part of your trip. |
| Booking and payment platforms | WeTravel, PayPal, card networks and banks, which process your booking and payment under their own privacy policies. |
| Technology providers | Website hosting and security (Cloudways, Cloudflare), email delivery (Elastic Email, Google) and messaging (WhatsApp). |
| Analytics and advertising | Google Analytics and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), to understand visits and measure our campaigns. |

If you book through one of our business partners, we receive from them the data needed to arrange your services. Each third party is responsible for its own handling of your data.
International transfers
Our services are delivered in Peru, and several of our technology providers are based in the United States and other countries. Your data may therefore be stored or processed outside your country of residence, where data-protection rules may differ from yours.
By using the website or booking with us, you agree to these transfers, which are necessary to provide the services you request.

If you keep cookies enabled and continue browsing, you accept their use as described here. Blocking them may affect some functions of the site.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries without a booking: for as long as needed to follow up on your request and for a reasonable period afterwards.
- Bookings, invoices and payments: for the period required by Peruvian tax, accounting and consumer law, which is generally at least five years.
- Complaints Book entries: for the period required by consumer-protection rules.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Photos and comments you publish: until you ask us to remove them.
We may keep data for longer when the law requires it or when it is needed to resolve disputes or defend legal claims.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data: encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to booking information, and providers with recognized security standards.
No transmission over the internet or storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for unauthorized access caused by events beyond our reasonable control, by third-party platforms, or by the user sharing data through channels other than our official ones.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what data we hold about you and provide a copy.
- Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your data or stop using it, when it is no longer needed.
- Withdraw a consent you gave, or object to marketing.
- If you live in the European Union: restrict processing and receive your data in a portable format.
Send your request to info@andeanmoments.com with your full name, a description of the request and a copy of an identity document, so we can confirm it is really you. We reply within the time limits set by the applicable law.
Some requests cannot be fully met: we must keep the data required by law, the data needed for an active booking, and the data needed to defend legal claims. Deleting data needed for a booking may make it impossible to provide the service, under the conditions of our Terms and Conditions.
If you consider that your request was not handled properly, you may contact the Peruvian National Authority for Personal Data Protection (Ministry of Justice and Human Rights) or, in the European Union, your local supervisory authority.
Newsletter and marketing
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address to send travel inspiration, news and offers from Andean Moments.
You can unsubscribe at any time by writing to info@andeanmoments.com or using the link included in our emails. Messages about a booking you made (confirmations, reminders, operational changes) are not marketing and will still be sent.
Photos, videos and content you share
Photos and videos may be taken during our tours. As set out in our Terms and Conditions, by taking part you authorize their reasonable use on our website, social media and promotional material, unless you tell us otherwise in writing before the tour begins.
When you send content through Share Your Moment, a review or a blog comment, you confirm that it is yours and that the people shown agreed to it, and you authorize us to publish it with your name. We review this content before publishing and may edit, decline or remove it. You can ask us to take it down at any time.
Children and minors
This website is not directed at children. Bookings must be made by an adult. Data about travelers under 18 must be provided by a parent or legal guardian, who authorizes its use to arrange the trip.
Your responsibilities
- The data you give us must be accurate, complete and identical to your travel document. We are not responsible for costs, denied entries or lost services caused by incorrect data.
- If you provide data about other travelers, you confirm that you have their permission and that you informed them of this policy.
- Use only our official channels to send personal or payment data. We are not responsible for information shared through unofficial channels.
Third-party websites
Our website links to external services such as WeTravel, PayPal, WhatsApp, TripAdvisor and social networks. Those services have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their content, security or data practices. We recommend reading their policies before giving them your data.
Changes and governing law
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in our services or in the law. The version published on this page, with its date, is the one in force. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru. Any dispute is subject to the courts of Cusco, Peru, without affecting mandatory rights you may have as a consumer in your country. This policy is available in several languages; if versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.
